The Qualstar line of Autoloders and Library Units are considered the best in the Industry for Performance, Reliability, Durability and Power Saving Designs. They have been providing tape solutions since 1984 out of their Simi Valley, CA facility.

RLS Series

The RLS Autoloader Series offers a 5U Rackmount with 12 to 44 tape cartridges and up to 2 Fibre or SCSI drives. You can order the Units with 36 or 44 LTO cartridge slots and 1 or two drives. You can also utilize Qualstar's "COD" Capacity on Demand starting with a block of 12 Cartridges and scaling up 8 cartridges at a time after that. Units are available with both AIT and LTO drives.

 

TLS 4000 Series - AIT

The TLS 4000 Series features the AIT drive technology. 7 Models available for your solution. Systems supporting from 2 to 12 drives with AIT-3 or AIT-5 Technology. The units can support from 13 to 360 cartridges. WORM Technology available as well. All Libraries come with Qualstar's "QLINK" web browser accessed remote library manager.

The units offer Fibre, SCSI and an iSCSI option host connection

 

TLS 8000 Series - LTO

The TLS 8000 Series features the LTO drive technology. 7 Models available for your solution. Systems supporting from 2 to 12 drives with LTO-3 or LTO-4 Technology. The units can support from 13 to 360 cartridges. WORM Technology available as well. All Libraries come with Qualstar's "QLINK" web browser accessed remote library manager.

 

XLS Series - LTO

The XLS Series features the LTO drive technology. 5 Models available for your solution. Two Expansion units available s well. Systems supporting from 2 to 36 drives with LTO-3 or LTO-4 Technology. The units can support from 295 to over 9600 cartridges. WORM Technology available as well. All Libraries come with Qualstar's "QLINK" web browser accessed remote library manager.

The XLS offers one of the smallest footprints in tape storage with over 2.5 Petabyte's in 28 square feet. The XLS also dose not require more power connections with their expansion units. Power is derived from the base units. The XLS also includes an onboard UPS System with their "Data-Guard" protection. The system also uses infered security paths during downtime to monitor if catridges have been moved and if they will have to re-inventory cartrideges.
